i took my bike into freewheeling cycles this morning after having problem with my hydrulic front brake but chris mannaged to repair it for me there and then for me there and then so i could finnish my cycle run so thank you chis and i whould recommend your shop to anyone needing work done on there bike
Took my bike for repairs and Chris was great, fixed a puncture, re-tyred front wheel, new disk-pads and serviced my bike (). My bike rode away with *far* less effort than on delivery, and while riding it I can feel that an excellent job has been done ().I read some of the reviews before going to the shop. The ones that mention too expensive dont list what they had done, which isnt that helpful. For me, Chris was very explicit and upfront () with the costs. These were:Front tube - 7.99New 29 Tyre - 24.99Disk pads - 14.99Labour and bike service - 36.00()Apart from being polite, Chis is extremely knowledgeable () and Ill be going back.
Used this shop a lot over the years for servicing and parts never been let down he uses all good brands and has to charge the going rate for them cant believe the one star ratings on here if you want to be over charged by a big name shop go to them but in the long run you will regret not having the smaller shop to run to when they are gone
Went in with an old bike that had been out of use for years. I was grumpy for reasons that were nothing to do with the shop. Chris had a logistics problem, and I nearly stomped off, but he talked me round, and used his experience to take two minutes to fix the bike for free on the spot. Thank you!
Went in for a service as my bike was making a lot of wierd noises and not knowing much about bikes I had no idea why. Chris was quick to diagnose the problem and offer solutions. I've used a few other bike repair services in the past and Chris was the first person to offer me a variety of options on the repair. He went over the different cost options and the pros and cons of each one. After picking my option I had the bike back in a day and running better than it was when it was new. He also gave me a heads up that my wheels were on their way out due to wear from the brakes and slight rust round the spokes. But he also let me know I could get another few months out of them before they would need to be replaced. It was a pleasure dealing with Chris, he clearly knows his stuff and appreciates that not everyone can afford the most expensive options available so gives options at several price points. When the time comes I will definitely be going back here to get my wheels sorted. It's great having this kind of expert service available locally.
