Fantastic Rustic Italian, with a great Wine and varied menu, not to mention Wood Fired Pizza Oven, Daily specials are varied and value for money. Great for Large parties and families.
Dont be fooled by the generic exterior, this restaurant is totally unique! The mozzarella sticks were something else, absolutely incredible and my boyfriends pizza was also amazing, just the right portion size. The service matched the food, warm and welcoming; would DEFINITELY recommend.

Ive just left La Favorita after dinner and I feel compelled to leave a review.The restaurant came highly recommended by a friend of mine who has lived and worked in Edinburgh for a number of years. Judging by how busy the place was, Im sure it is a very popular restaurant.I found my experience this evening very disappointing.My daughter and I sat down for dinner and we gave our drinks, starter and main course order to the waitress that was serving us. Drinks and starters came in a timely fashion - However, we soon became the forgotten diners....in the meantime other customers were seated, their orders taken and their food served but our main course was nowhere to be seen. After a couple of follow-up requests, the main course arrived (about 45 minutes after we completed our starter). To add insult to injury, midway through our main course our waitress managed to spray D2 disinfectant on my 8 year old daughter - the waitress was cleaning something behind my daughter and managed to spray her on the side of the face and ear.I would expect the waitress to have shown more concern especially when an 8 year old child is involved - I had to take her to the WC to wash her face. A manager should have been called and the matter should have been given some consideration. All we got was a sorry from the waitress which is not good enough. Regarding the extended delay to the main course, a small gesture of goodwill would have gone a long way, something like my starter on the house or a complementary coffee to make up for the wait - it doesnt really cost the establishment much but makes a big difference to the dining experience. Im sure my dining experience and subsequent review will have an inconsequential bearing/impact on what appears to be a thriving business - nevertheless, this was my experience tonight.
Excellent service excellent food good value for money. Big portions. Nice friendly staff. Clean place,and many more. We was passing this place while visiting Edinburgh wit my young daughter an my partner an popped in here.anytime we come to Edinburgh now we no where to go for good food. Well done guys.
