Initially, I was impressed by James (Jim) when he came to quote. He was very convincing about the thorough job 'he' would do, particularly in relation to the care that would be taken when prepping the job - "sanding down all woodwork", "treating all wood knots", "filling all holes and gaps", etc., etc.In fact, James sent a man on his own to do the work and this man rushed at the job, doing hardly any preparation and finishing with a job badly carried out, evidence of which can be seen in my photos. I had to complain to James about the poor standard of work and, to be fair, he visited to see for himself, agreeing completely with my complaints. He then sent his "best man Phil" to put right a lot of the unsatisfactory aspects and this second young man did a very good job of putting right the original faults. However, there was no way that Phil could completely rectify some aspects resulting from the original lack of preparation.I had been quoted almost 1200 for this job which included the walls and ceilings of a small porch, hall, staircase and landing. I knew this was very expensive, but I had been convinced by James that it would be money well-spent. I have now been invoiced in full, which has rather surprised me, considering the inconvenience, stress, disappointment and unsatisfactory final result. Because of this bad experience, I cannot recommend Elite Decorating and, personally, I will definitely never use them again.
Shocking company, had Jim and his work force in to paint my house. They painted around my furniture managed to get paint on my carpet and to top it all of none of his workmen spoke English. Black mailing me and becoming extremely aggressive demanding I pay him. Avoid at all costs.
Do not trust this man as he never pays his staff just leaves them with no money
