The animals were being properly cared for and looked after- you can tell by how the keepers are with them. Plenty of space for them to hide away from the public too if they need to. Good view of Edinburgh too. Quiet mid week which is lovely.
Best fake animals I've ever seen! Went to see the Chinese lantern display and it was amazing. The lanterns are stunning to look at and the different themes allow for an enjoyable way to learn, with a bit of a conservation message that doesn't detract from the enjoyment. The little performance is well worth watching, with each performer raising the bar.
Lovely place and great tourism attraction. I visited on a chilli day because of which lots of animals were hiding in their safe heavens. But we had lot of fun. Penguins parade is a must watch which started at 2:15 pm. Staff is really cooperative and friendly, place is scenic, washrooms are well maintained, restaurant offer good coffee and snacks. I highly recommend visiting.
Took my son to the Chinese lantern show here tonight and it was lovely. Parking was fine, was busy but not too busy. Well mapped out to keep you informed where facilities were and features of the shows and displays etc. Staff were absolutely great too. My son loved it and I didn't even mind the cold and rain
Great experience, helpful and friendly staff and good mix of well cared for animals. I loved the sweet playful rhino (yes really it was) and the pink herons. I only thought flamingos were pink! Currently, they have a beautiful nighttime lantern display. Plenty of toilets and eateries. It's all uphill but you can request an assistance vehicle which takes you from a to b on request. Attractive grounds and reasonably priced gift shop.
