Used by the free tours of Edinburgh as you get a good view of the "Hogwarts" inspiration as well as several graves sharing the names of JK's characters.

Amazing Place, this is such a unique graveyard, I have never seen such old stones..if you want to make things a bit spookier, come around when its dark outside

This kirkyard is a good place to see some really old and historic graves. The tale of Grey Friars Bobby a little dog who used to sleep on his dead masters grave. Guided tours pass through here but also nice to just stroll around. Statue of dog at entrance. Disney did a movie Grey Friars Bobby which will give you a good insight into the story.

Spooky, haunting, with an ever so slightly sinister atmosphere. Impressive monuments. Be warned bones do sometimes appear after heavy rain. Weird feeling over at the conveneters prison

Lot of dead bodies... Beware you may see some bones. photographic location. If you want to see all these places es I would recommend the free tour by Sandman's which start at the high street. It helps going around seeing places with someone who knows the history and the story! Makes the walk interesting.
