Sent an initial email and received an automated response that my request would be dealt with shortly...that was the 24th of September (almost 2 months ago). Utter shambles, dont waste your time!
I tried to sell my house via Blair Caddell some time ago, and having secured a sale within a week or so, the buyer subsequently tried to reduce the price. The second time the buyer did this for no substantive reason (other than the fact he couldnt afford our house) we instructed Blair Cadell to put our house back on the market. Blair Cadell refused to do so, and informed us if we wished to put our house back on the market we had to go to another estate agent. When we went to another estate agent Blair Cadell refused to release the title deeds until we had paid them fees in full for the sale of our property, even although the sale had fallen through due to the buyer having refused to sign the title deeds until we agreed to reduce the selling price! Since we were anxious to get out house back on the market we had no choice but to pay Blair Cadell the full fees for advertising and selling our house (despite the fact the sale had fallen through), since they refused to send the title deeds on to our new solicitors until we paid the fees. Perplexed as to why Blair Cadell seemed to be acting on behalf of the buyer instead of ourselves (their clients) we later discovered that the buyer was also a solicitor!! We sold our house via our new estate agents/ solicitor (who by contrast to Blair Cadell had impeccable professional standards) in a short period of time. Ironically, the people who bought our house told us they had lost the first house they had put an offer in for due to their then solicitor/ estate agent being totally incompetent.Guess who thier solicitor/ estate agent had been........Blair Cadell! If you want to sell or purchase a house successfully, dont touch this estate agent/ solicitors, since they are an incompetent bunch of scoundrels, and that is being extremely kind!
Judge for yourself: is this "unrelenting customer experience"? I requested house viewings during either weekday evenings or weekends and was told "we need to keep them within office hours".When I agreed to take time out of my lunch on a busy month to view a property, nobody from Blair Cadell arrived. The reason? "There appears to have been a mix-up in the diary for today". Scant comfort, I'm afraid. Very disappointed.
