Great experience.Music was brilliant! One of the best nights out iv had in Edinburgh. Well worth a visit!
Had quite a good night until I went to call myself a taxi. I was asked to move off the stairs which is fair enough, I went outside (No jacket on in a dress) and wasn't allowed back inside because one of the security guys lied and said I had sworn at him when he asked me to move. I was then outside on my own, no bag, no jacket. The doormen were rude and called me arrogant. I asked to speak to a manager and a young girl came out and was not taking me seriously at all, just treating me like an idiot. I don't live in Edinburgh so I was worried about being on my own with no bag. She eventually listened and retrieved my bag and jacket. The night club closed and all customers and staff had left before my taxi had arrived. This was careless and negligent of the staff. I will be putting in a formal complaint but I wanted to warn people about the security staff not offering any particular security to young women on their own.
Bouncers were totally over the top and looking for a fight. First one of our friends got thrown out because he was too drunk which may have been fair, but what certainly wasn't fair was him getting choked out and thrown onto the street like something from the wwe. Then later in the night my fiance and I went outside to look for some of our friends, on the way out I had forgotten to put my drink down, so the bouncer told me I couldn't take it which again was fair. But before I even had a chance to finish it or put it down the guy shoved me backwards, I could have gone head first down the stairs if I hadn't been paying attention. Once we dodged the aggressive doorman and got outside, my fiance wasn't allowed back in because she was also deemed too drunk but she really wasn't. This meant I was forced to leave outside on her own while I went back in to get our coats. When I got back outside both doorman where shouting and swearing at my other half, and backing her into a corner, obviously I took exception to this and wanted to find out what had gone on, but I was not aggressive at all. The next thing I know the shorter bouncer was shoving me back and trying his best to get a reaction from me, basically threatening to knock me out etc. In the end we just left. Overall I think your bouncers need better training before someone gets seriously hurt, their behaviour was disgraceful especially in verbally abusing my other half and acting physically aggressive towards her. Really really awful.
The staff is very rude, so are the security guards, I've seen people being kicked out very roughly for no reasons. Instead of talking to the people for not standing in the right position, (in the queue etc..) the staff were just pushing them.. unbelievable!I think when you get into a club you want to see staff smiling and welcoming you cause after all you are a coustumer, well I had a completely opposite feeling when I got inside, it looked like they were annoyed of our presence.I travel a lot, enough to say that I definitely do not recommend this place!
Easily one of the best clubs in Edinburgh. No matter the night its always the place I end up. Best prices on George Street and great staff as well!!
