Very nice pub. However, the barlady who prepared my cocktails was really slow and didn't care about me waiting standing for the 2 cocktails. She easily got distracted by everything. It took 10 mins to have them and I was the only one at the counter

(Very likely) Racist door policy. Regardless, risk of feeling off if treated demeaningly on asking for entry. Turned up stone-cold sober, don't drink, was told first it was full, then when friend got in asked if it was down to being coloured, was ignored. Was then told by another upon questioning it was because I was 'wasted' (or a profane equivalent) last time I came, which was a blatant lie given I don't take any intoxicants and have only been here once during the day to check on a fringe show, where I met the same guy and had a completely normal interaction with him. I asked if they thought the clove I was chewing was a drug and he said no it was cos' I was 'wasted' last time again. I'm guessing to save-face and use an excuse once he saw he couldn't claim I was 'wasted' now - given how clear and calm I was, which he was inching to do.None of the 5/6 bouncers had the integrity to be honest about the reasons for exclusion which most likely being race, could have also been perceived age/looks, all displayed low character and acted pathetically. I'm sure they know that too. Quite shameful. Probably an upper management directive to preserve a 'type' of clientele.In future the directive should be accompanied by training the tenders with some tact in dismissal, to neither be false nor confrontational but to empathise with the customer even if they are rejecting them. The basis of decisions should be made clear, so that they can be judged in a true light by those whom it concerns.
Bad DJs. Would not recommend if you have taste in good music and quality DJs. Cheap drinks but cash only. Not worth the 10 cover.
Really cool multi-floor venue, good dance floor, and friendly staff. I went on NYE for Hogmanay and had a great time. This is a good club, if that night is anything to judge by. Highly recommend.
