This restaurant must be one of the best I have been to and I have been to a lot everywhere in the world! Service is seamless from a genuinely warm greeting on a cold evening with staff who without exception are engaging, attentive, knowledgeable, polite, well trained and quietly unobtrusive but there instantly should they be required. The decor and ambiance is restrained, assured and blissfully quiet in a refined way.The food is well thought out, brave and progressive yet has selected reminders and themes on food we all remember. Would I call it particularly French? Not really from my experience but would I call it good? Absolutely with bells on. Whatever the food and wine selection is called or tips its hat to, it is top drawer albeit at a price, but life is too short to eat or drink willfully badly. If I could give this 6 stars I would.Highly recommended.
From the easy online reservation (with credit card, by the way), to the warm welcome when you came in, to the attentive service - the expectation was set very high. But the food and wine that followed surpassed those expectations. Room temperature was comfortable. The sofa-side was a bit low, so it was good there was a chair for those of us who are height-challenged. This is one of those restaurants that is in our short list of places we would happily return to and recommend to others.
Utterly fantastic. Great experience! Went for my wife's 30th birthday. Had the tasting menu with the added truffle for the main course. Fantastic depth in the flavours. Every dish was plated perfectly and was to die for.
Absolutely fantastic.Return trip to try the taster lunch again, had high expectations, these were met and then some.Food is just sublime, the combination of lovely food and wine makes for just the best of lunches.Can't recommend it highly enough.
