Good selection of groceries, however most of the George Home items arent available in store, and staff arent particularly helpful to customers. I think it would be better if staff were happy to answer customer questions, instead of walking away when customers come near.
I had the unfortunate job of rushing out at 1am for a baby thermometer this week, dashed to Chesser on way home from work, bought said item, only to get home to West Lothian to find box empty. Cut a long story short, called shop, spoke with Andrea, who at 2am could not have been more helpful or nice if she tried, what a delight this girl was. Thank you for resolving my nightmare. x
Like all the big supermarkets, Asda Chesser has almost everything you need under one roof. Unlike other stores though, Chesser is open 24/7 and also has a small McDonald's inside (open weekdays and all night Friday and Saturday). They have a great range of products, both brand name and Asda's own, with many offers available. Food, drink, fruit, clothes, cosmetics, laundry, pet food, electronics and more. It's easy to do a weekly shop here or just pick up a few things.
Rotten, now. Never any manned tills after 9pm. All prices bumped up by 5p. Now also charging for fruit bags & flower carriers! Customer service non existant. If there is someone at the desk, more like customer ignore. Staff in evening are always rude, none want to swipe on self service for my usual high-sugar drink, extending a supposed 30 second transaction to over 5 minutes Toilets locked, with no sign to say closed. Wife was injured walking into the locked door. Staff just grunted "you should know better. It's to keep the goths out. "
Awful customer service! As a mother I rarely get chance to do shopping peacefully so I decided to go at night so that it can be done quickly. All tills were closed ! Well it is not that bad I thought start using self-service that's when horror started. I was waiting for staff to come along and help me to deal with "unexpect item in bagging area" issue the lady staff was chatting away with her friend so after 5 minutes of waiting I decided to ask staff to help me. Well staff were NOT happy that I have interrupted their juicy gossip( I been hearing about it for past 5 minutes). Staff literally stomp her feet like my toddler son because I asked for a help. I would rather wait next day to shop or do online or drive 20 miles than putting up with unacceptable customer service at cheesser Asda Edinburgh.
