Initial work: Overall, I thought they did a decent job fixing a couple of things around the house. However, on the negative side, they did leave us with a hole in the wall and didn't tell us about it before leaving. We only noticed it the next morning.Subsequently, after booking an appointment for a house visit (31st October, from 4-5pm) in order to get a quote on some further work, they didn't even show up. I took time off work for this visit.Re. Work carried out on 14th November, the new dimmer switch panel was put on a bit carelessly and doesn't look great. The dimmer is working; however, one of the spotlights is now flickering when turned low, which wasn't happening before.
Great company, reliable and good communication from start to finish. They recently fitted a new kitchen light for me and I managed to co-ordinate with them from overseas in between guests for my holiday rental in Edinburgh. Great quality service and very professional!
The Amnesty International Scotland office needed a major fire and electrical safety review and upgrade and Daryl & Chris from IES have been delightful to deal with throughout. Professional, prompt, polite, and forgiving my lack of information about passwords and suchlike. All at a very reasonable price. And now they've been back for my annual inspection! Thoroughly recommended.
Ideal have just completed a 3 weeks project to upgrade around 350 light fittings and bulbs in commercial premises to LED along with other bits and pieces.This included works at 14m high ceiling , new circuit, replacement of smoke detectors, outdoor flood lights, emergency lights, downlighters, office and corridor light fittings.Over the 3 weeks project various electricians have worked on the premises, I can say they have been professional and their work has been excellent. The project was completed on time and to cost.Very happy with the service and I have invited them to quote us for further works needed.
The work carried out for an electrical rewiring/safety certificate was not the work discussed in person and even the full jobs on the picking list had not been completed. The cooker was wired incorrectly and this was only spotted when a senior electrician came in to discuss the unfinished works. Took three visits over several weeks to complete. Telephone communication confused and overlapping. I would not recommend this company and please note that they reward good reviews from customers with a 10 M&S voucher!
