This little free museum is a gem. Filled with history of Edinburgh with an interesting collection. Including a very nice interactive play area for children. If you would prefer to avoid stairs however this may not be the museum for you. Worth a visit. The staff was extremely friendly.
Looks small but it's quite big actually. It shows what Edinburgh got, from Old Town until New Town. However the place is quite old, and at ground level it smells so bad maybe because the toilet is not clean. When I went there, the courtyard is closed. But overall it's worth to discover it.
An absolutely brilliant museum that just keeps on giving. Well worth a visit. And it's free. But please make a donation
Wonderful little museum, great gift shop with lovely gifts.Really enjoyed the variation in the museum, comprehensive and quirky!Lots of interesting information about this beautiful city and definitely a place to visit and revisit again!
Very focused on the city of Edinburgh and its industry as it's supposed to be. But for an international visitor it might get an information overload and you tend to skip a lot of exhibits. Not really a must visit if you're here only for a few days. Better to visit National Museum of Scotland if you have less time to spend.
