Very disappointed with the service. My friend slipped and fell down a flight of stairs from the pool and no first aid was administered by the spa manager Alex or even offered. I expected more. The amenities were clearly not maintained as the stairs were wet and slippy- a very obvious hazard. When staff were informed, they blamed the flip flops that we had been told to wear. If these were a hazard then why were these offered to guests? Will not be returning due to health and safety regulations not met. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel that was booked as a Christmas present.

I booked this spa for my sister's 40th birthday then seen all the reviews on here and it filled me with worry, I have to say both my sister and I have never been on a spa day before so nothing to really compare it with but I have to say it was the best day ever! We booked for 10th October 2018 deliberately so that it was mid week and not alot going on in Edinburgh it was the perfect timing as we arrived 9.30am had the pool to ourselves bar the odd 1 person went for a swim but the pool was great jacuzzi was roasting which we loved the sauna and steam room were hot too everything was clean afterwards we went up to spa treatment relaxation room where we had a coffee with some snacks after my facial I had a shower used their hair products also hair dryer and straighteners everything provided towels etc all lovely and clean the robes they give for the spa are very heavy but I loved mine! Once ready I went back to the relaxation room and when my sister's facial was over I then got my nails done then when my sister arrived back the girl gave us a glass of Prosecco which was included to toast her birthday they gave us both a birthday gift bag full of samples which my sister was delighted with me too very kind of them! Our spa treatments were carried out by Mathilde Lacomme she was lovely very professional and looked after us very well, the whole experience was amazing! Keep up the good work. My only tiny bit of criticism would be I loved my nails they did last for my holiday but they did have dents/scratches on them as they hadn't dried enough by the time we left that was our fault thought cause we had a lunch booking elsewhere but we did give it at least 30 min before leaving mines lasted longer but my nails had extra time but my sister's only lasted 2 days cause they actually chipped I think maybe they need to change the product as this shouldn't have happened but even so I think this Spa and staff do a great job!

I got a supreme pedicure as a Christmas gift last year so decided to use it last week before flying off for my summer holiday. They try to make it an experience by getting you changed into a done and in the relaxation room before and after the treatment. The relaxation room wasn't being looked after as there were used glasses on all tables besides other things but I don't care. I was there to get a nice pedicure. It felt like it went well at the time, I gave my toes plenty time to dry up in the relaxation room before heading to change and leave. All was fine until 2 days later. 2 of my toes chipped, I got it done on Saturday afternoon and on Monday evening the nail varnish had come off from the top of 2 of my toes. I have not experienced this before, especially for the feet as, unlike hands, you don't put them under water so many times a day. Was very disappointed as must have just been a cheap nail varnish. Wouldn't go back.

Loved the spa treatments! Staff very professional and treatments felt very personalised. Left feeling stress free and relaxed, everything you would want from a spa. Range of Guerlain products available for purchase also great.

Beautiful spa and amazing treatments.Fantastic Therapists. Thanks Guerlain Spa:-)
