Great coffee, nice selection of cakes. Decent service.Loads of students with an average of 3 laptops each though, tap tap tap!
Really lovely spacious well designed cafe with friendly staff. Decent cappuccino. Breakfast cream cheese brioche number was a bit lacking sadly.
Brew Lab in a nice little street next to the university has stunning coffee. If you are into coffee like myself and enjoy experimenting with many different blends you don't often get then this is a place you must visit. What I will say is that it is always busy with students. So if you try and go at quieter times then you will have a better experience. However for the serious coffee drinker I highly advise a trip here. You won't be disappointed. Staff are helpful if asked and will advise on certain blends and coffee.
This is a cozy cafe, especially on a chilly day. The interior is spacious, rustic and unique, with exposed brick and stone walls. Ive been here twice - its often full with people but seats do open up if your patient. Ive been lucky to sit in tucked away corners with my dog. The coffee and tea are delicious, the service is friendly and organized. You get a number after you order at the till and the staff deliver the drinks to your table. Great place for reading and sketching!
I have loved this place! The coffee precision is a lovely counterpoint to the distressed ambience. Now they have dropped soy I wont be going there. They said they cant work it properly in cappuccino - but other places can (and they used to). And they are the lab! Still, Thomas J Walls is a few minutes walk and did great coffee (inc soy).
