Brilliantly quickly cafe. Freezing cold day so was looking to escape into some warmth. I wasn't disappointed. Brilliant menu selection and I chose the pancakes. What's not to like about pancakes and a nice pint of lager. Really perked up my day. Staff were so friendly. Definitely go back again if I was in Edinburgh!
Great Americana style cafe. Good all day menu and great atmosphere at night where it has more of a bar feel. Service is normally fast and friendly. Recommend the pancakes and milkshake if you have a sweet tooth.
Excellent burgers and chunky fries. Needed food to go and although they don't really do takeaway, they were kind enough to put some burgers and fries in burger boxes and away I went. Delicious burgers and very friendly staff. The Californian and Apache are highly recommended! Large portions and great, friendly staff. Thanks.Update 25th January 2019: This afternoon they out-did themselves and wrapped the burgers in foil so they were still toasty hot when eaten (scoffed more like) a little later! On another note, why are there review comments about inattentive staff? Place was quite busy today and while waiting for burgers two members of staff still took time to ask if I wanted a drink or to advise that they would be with me soon until I explained I was just waiting for burgers. Great breasts as well... they're huge!... not sure how large the chickens are or if they are less like large chickens and more like small dinosaurs but the breasts on the Californian are out of this world!

Tia Maria Hot chocolates are fab. They aren't on the drinks lost but they'll make it up for you. Hot dogs are tasty to. It looks like a 50a diner. Ideal if your looking for somewhere to eat on the Royal Mile.
