Only been in once but I thought the scones were massive at a decent price. Had a nice savoury one and a fairly good decaf latte. Staff seem cheery and sociable too.
Good atmosphere, cosy ambience. Nice coffee and food, friendly service. Simple/small menu but I think that's good because then it's easier to choose. For two breakfasts, two coffees, and two teas, I don't think 26 and change is expensive. Would come here again and would recommend to others.
Really cosy and comfortable cafe with a nice ambiance. The breakfast menu is simple with enough variety to tickle anybody's fancy. We ordered the Devilled Fried Egg (which was absolutely brilliant) and the Red Kite Veggie Breakfast. They were both very well done, with a lovely balance of flavours all round. The staff were very friendly and the service was quick. The prices are slightly high for the portion size, but the quality really is great!
Do try the scones and soup. Delightful. The cafe itself is cheery and welcoming. The staff are always friendly and courteous. It's become our neighbourhood cafe :)
I love this meal so much! Personally, I love both fried eggs and scrambled eggs. I asked for both but make the smaller potion for scramble eggs since I wouldn't be able to finish it and the staff was really nice and suggested me with the menu. The best thing is that the scramble eggs was cooked to perfection, not too dry and not too soggy. So far, my best breakfast in Edinburgh.
