As a patient of this appalling medical practice, I feel compelled to write this review. Going through a sensitive medical matter, I had called the practice front desk to gather some information and make an appointment to see the GP who was overlooking my case. The lady at the front desk, was not only extremely unhelpful ( I also believe she was not knowledgeable on the matter) otherwise she would have been able to be answer my questions, but when I had shown clear signs of frustration( because of her lack of empathy and understanding) she HUNG UP the phone on me. So I called back, and she said that I had abused her and HUNG UP AGAIN!! Now is it ethical, professional or humane to hang up the phone on a patient who is trying to make an appointment to see the GP? How is it that this should even be allowed to happen?!?I received a letter in the mail that I had been abusive and run the risk of being removed from the practice. I no longer feel appreciated nor safe to book any further appointments with the front desk, because a doctor's office/medical practice should be a safe space. I URGE you- if you are not from Edinburgh/ Scotland and are new to this city, and in need of a medical practice --- DO NOT!!!! attend this one unless you absolutely must and there is no other option for you. Please be prepared to be stonewalled by unexperienced front desk staff, who will never answer any questions, and can't seem to behave professionally, at least not towards people who don't know all the rules and procedures, and are not from here. I have seen two of the GP's, and I would say they are OK. Currently looking to change medical practices.A bit of advice- before sending out such strongly worded letters, please find out the true issue.
