Terrible customer service. Horrible aggressive man. Went in to hire a couple of Mics. Left without anything. Love supporting local businesses, but no way I'll be back. I grudge even the 1 star I have to give here.EDITED BASED ON REPLY:I had ID (drivers license with photo and address). But hadnt realised 2 forms were needed (my error). I offered several options but was told none was good enough. Only digital form possible was my credit card statement. I was told I had to email a copy of my credit card statement (containing personal banking info not in anyway related to the hiring of equipment) direct to the company. I offered to show my statement but was told no, it must be emailed. I was told I could pay 100 deposit but this was not an option for me. I pointed out, without any abuse (because let's be honest it's hardly worth getting abusive over) that information like that should not be request. Nobody should be emailing copies of their bank statements with personal banking data to anyone. I was then shouted at by the aggressive man as I left the shop. I was stunned, but reading some of the other comments about customer support (see for yourselves), perhaps I shouldn't be surprised.I think the response is telling of the attitude of this company. Avoid
I always like to support local businesses and use them wherever possible. I had a bad experience using Pegasus Sound & Light for a mixer repair a few years ago, they said they had fixed my mixer when in fact hey hadn't done anything other than 'wiggle a few knobs' to make it work - it failed on me at the first gig after I had got it back and had to go back to the manufacturer for a new main board. I also left CD decks in for repair with them a few years back which to this day, I have never got back. It was perhaps my own fault for not chasing them up but I didn't think I would have to and I am past caring about now. Several years later, I thought I would give Pegasus one more chance as I was in the market for a pair of new Pioneer XDJ1000mk2 decks. Perhaps they have improved their service after a few years or they are now under new management? I called up on the Thursday to enquire if they either have these decks available or could order them in for me, I was greeted with a less than enthusiastic response (the guy on the phone could not have sounded less interested if he tried) and told the guy in the shop who deals with Pioneer was not in yet but would call me back. I made sure I spelt my name out and was clear with my phone number for the message so no chance of any confusion. Nearly 2 weeks later, I have still not had a call back - quite shocking considering this was for a sale for over 2200. I was also after a new mixer which would have added 1500 to that order. I have since ordered from Juno who I have never had an issue with and are always happy to offer a deal, I just would have rather supported a local business. How Pegasus manage to stay in business giving this kind of service is beyond me, I am also amazed they could not be bothered to take such a large order for me. There are so many gems in this industry giving amazing service, this is not one of them. Sort it out sooner rather than later Gents or don't question why your business has failed.
