Wonderful grounds. This is such a peaceful place to go and wander :) we picked a terribly rainy day, so wasnt ideal for being outside. However, Id return again when the suns out. Beautiful pieces of art work to admire. Activities for the kids, with great staff supporting this too. Not your typical place you would maybe expect your kids to have fun at on a family day out, but ours loved it (ages 5 and 12).
Beautifully maintained. The green hills with a pond so tranquil and relaxing. Some of piece of art look amazing in the woods. Lovely way to present art and opportunity for a family walk. A bit hidden but but worth of putting some effort to see it. When the weather is sunny (as it was during our visit) you may see memorable views e.g. the island and swans with cygnets.
Very peculiar and nice place, ideal for families. If the weather is fine, you can spend hours looking for pieces of art in the wood, playing and grass feeding cute animals (small donkeys are overwhelming nice), and... relaxing in some special and beautiful corners.
Great place to visit. Wheelchair friendly. Great cafe with a lovely garden seating area. We'll priced and friendly staff. The artwork here is superb. The gardens are superbly laid out and manicured. Great to visit and mediate, relax or just for a coffee.
This is a great place, and well worth the visit. Weve been meaning to go for a long time and finally made it today. Set a decent way out of Edinburgh, you enter through some impressive gates and then drive through the estate. Quite suddenly you drive right through the centre of one of the artworks. Decent amount of parking. The ticket office isnt well signposted but youll find it. Reasonable price. Some really good and impressive works of art, and some I could just leave. The grounds are all very well maintained, no litter, and beautiful scenery. Id highly recommend.
