Beautiful wee space with interesting rotational exhibitions on both ground and upper floor. Also worth a visit in itself, the cafe here (Milk) is the best in the area with amazing coffee and a strong seasonal food offering. The cafe is popular and can get busy at peak times due to its central location. Bookshop is also great to browse and the books selected have been well curated.
This gallery has free entrance and a great cafe. The food is always delicious. Cute gift shop as well.
A nice alternative to the coffee shops in Waverley Station. The Fruitmarket Gallery is an interesting place. They have good coffee and cakes in the cafe, a wee gift shop and some art on display. It's just outside the "rear entrance" to Waverley Station, but if you're afraid to wander away from Princes Street, you'll never see it.
Always a great place to dip into for arty gifts, cards, books and magazines. Good coffee shop, always busy. The gallery space is very flexible, always worth taking the time to suss out what's on.
Friendly caf staff, two lovely galleries, free to enter but with opportunity to donate as a mark of appreciation. With a glass roof in the upper gallery there are terrific sound affects when the heavens open and dump the life-giving liquid. See video space to learn more about the artist's installation... excellent...Current exhibition.. upstairs and down well worth a visit...you'll love the speech bubbles.
