An amazing gallery with some truly astonishing art. However! Where is the art painted by women? In the entirety of the downstairs gallery there is not one piece of art painted by a woman. Its just a bit irksome.Definitely some amazing renaissance art though.
Beautiful collection of paintings, Cezanne, Monet, Constable just to name a few. Lovely museum with helpful staff. What an amazing experience!
With reduced space the gallery has still managed to put on a great display. Of course the Turners in January (Vaughan Bequest) is always wonderful and was particularly popular yesterday AM.
Very Beautiful. Nicely Decorated & full of History. Ilove that journey to Edinburgh & this museum. Specially its Roof top terrace scenery. You can see whole Edinburgh from there.
Love the National Galleries - all of them. A must each January is the Turner Exhibition. It's of his watercolours and only lasts a month, then they are put back into the dark store to protect their colours.
