Lovely and serves great iced coffee but I was disappointed in the lack of cakes with dairy in them. I feel ridiculous for complaining when I understand people have allergies and things but I found the dairy, gluten free cakes dry and bland tasting so it would have been nice to have more of a variety and a good mix of dairy free and dairy filled cakes on offer. The staff were friendly but I was thoroughly disappointed in the cakes so I dont think Id go back. Not a great place to go if youre wanting a coffee and cake date or treat unless youre vegan.
Food is really good. Big portions, price around 10 pounds per person, but worth it.Tea is a good choice to start the morningStaff is really friendly and they try to make you feel good.Recommended as a good place to start the morning.
I had a delicious brunch here, on New Years Day. There was a line when we got there, but we didnt have to wait very long (maybe 10-15 min). Its surprisingly big inside, especially compared to most places in Edinburgh. The hostess was exceptionally kind - she took into account my dog and seated us in the sofa area so my dog can have his space away from others. The food and coffee were delicious too - I had the smoked salmon scramble and my partner got the eggs and bacon. I wish I found this place in the beginning of my trip - Id love to return on my next visit to Edinburgh!
Staff was very friendly and quick to table service, amazing considering how popular the place can be. Coffee was great even for Australian standards, and food was delicious. Highly recommended!
We really enjoyed our breakfast at Loudons. We had a short wait for our table (which was a good sign - it was very busy!) but the staff were attentive. There were plenty of vegan, dairy free and gluten free options which was really great for my dairy allergy. Really delicious food and great atmosphere.
