Have stayed here previously and it was quite upmarket and reasonably priced but for some reason prices went above and beyond our budget. Saw it advertised quite cheaply and decided to stay over on our return from holiday, unfortunately the hotel seems to have gone downhill a bit with numerous works vehicles in the car park.Breakfast was excellent but dining room was a bit shabby.No complaints with the room and bed was comfy
5 for Crispy Potatoes, Parmesan and Cesar Dip. I find the snack menu more reasonably priced than the main menu, with good portion size. The oversized bowl on a small plate was a little impractical but delivered and presented well. I had to order at the bar but once placed I received table service for additional drinks. The staff were friendly and helpful, my order was promptly served. Nice atmosphere lends well to office meetings and provides a charging station for devices.
Checked in for 2 night's. Asked for a 3rd night rate and given a fair price. Went to the room and delighted with it. Decided, yeah let's stay another night. Went to reception to book it and advised, "sorry we made a mistake, the price is a lot more". We run a business and can't believe that the quoted rate just suddenly disappeared. Excellent hotel, location and facilities but awful management to reneged on a quoted deal. It left us very very disappointed. We could've actually booked it at the quoted rate before they reneged on a deal. Marriott hotel, you must learn from your business mistakes and look after your customers !
Lovely big room and hot shower with great water pressure. Very quiet considering it's on the main road. Was there for a Christmas party night and it was very well done - good food, well decorated and good atmosphere. Drinks are very expensive though.
Good venue. Clean, warm, good location. Comfy rooms, enjoyable food in the lovely restaurant and a very nice spa. Excellent service for an event. It is nice and provides a very good service without every wowing.
