Great offer for Edinburgh Christmas and hogmany. Festive afternoon tea with a nice glass of bubbly (with fresh raspberry). Nice selection of sweet and savoury. Lovely quiet setting away from the hustle and bustle with beautiful Christmas decoration. This could easily become a yearly tradition
Great location (right on the high street, near the castle, shops and restaurants) and beautiful building. I was in a beautiful room with a great view. Comfortable beds, helpful staff and great facilities! I would definitely stay here again.

This is a four star deluxe Hotel which has had an amazing multi million pound refurbishment to bring it into the modern era. Almost smack dab in the middle of the city, right above the Waverly train Station, a stones throw from local bus routes and only a 5 min walk from St Andrews Square tram stop. An ideal location from many of the cities attractions. The staff there are very welcoming and polite, the reception is noticeable on North Bridge by its huge windows and gold coloured canopies. All rooms have air conditioning/heating and there are a variety of rooms ranging from quaint singles to moderately sized Kings, and although the hotel has a fitness room, which has a range of exercises machines, there is no swimming pool or sauna. But over all a very nice place.
I was really shocked at the hotel after seeing all the positive reviews. If you have luggage, you really need to either find a way to leave it behind the desk or get a taxi to pick you up when going to park your car in the garage they send people to. It's not a short walk and most of it is uphill. When we got into our room it looked very nice and modern and fresh. It's not until you look at anything white do you realize how dirty it all is. The shower floor is brown, the grout is molded on the tile walls, the bathroom flooring is loose and the grout there breaks away when you walk over it. If it wouldn't have been for this stuff the hotel would have been amazing. The design and room layout is really nice. Just really wish it would have been clean.
