Pleasant place with reasonably priced (for Edinburgh centre) food.Update from today's visit.. 3 Stars to 5 stars:It's the staff who make this such a pleasant experience.Update for 22/1/2019 down to 3 stars. If the barstool are pouring spirits into a measure then the measure should be filled.Also, apparently a single (25ml) measure of gin is 4.25! Beware.
Reasonably priced and tasty drinks served in a typical bar atmosphere. Nothing hipster about it which is apparently a difficult thing to find in Edinburgh when you want a cocktail. Perfect for socialising or a date night.
Lacking in Christmas spirit but one barmaid was excellent and made up for the lack of Christmas cheer. The 3 stars are for the bar person. Very attentive young lady.
A fairly lively place to have a drink, can be pretty busy and can be quite a wait before getting a drink. Last time I visited the bartender tried to charge us more than they'd initially said the price was, wouldn't normally mind but they were rude and blunt which didn't help. Overall not impressed and won't be back.
