A 'spur of the moment' visit as my partner and I decided to pop in for a first time and a quick drink. The cocktails were great, and so was the service. We arrived just as is opened at 14:00 on Saturday. Free entry. The atmosphere was chilled and inviting, and the place soon filled up. The live music was on point, an old trio of friends set a mood on piano, drums and bass which created a chilled and friendly ambience. They've done the best they could with space, unfortunately the place could be considered somewhat small. Get there in good time and you'll be just fine.
Great, laid-back atmosphere with fantastic musicians to boot. Cheap enough entry prices (cash only) and a good selection of wines, beers and cocktails at the bar. Go early to get a seat or booth on a busier night, I believe they don't take reservations. Would definitely come back here on another visit to Edinburgh!
Great fun. Good atmosphere. Toilets a bit basic/need updating. Very competitive to get a seat if you don't want to stand. Really friendly and helpful bouncers. Average prices drinks. Would go again when in area.
