Great beer especially their own brand ale.. and that's under 3 a pint.. good old fashioned Scottish pub a bit off the beaten track but worth it..
Great pub. This pub has everything you want from a pub. Lots of different little areas to sit in. On the South side of the bar it is open plan. On the North side there are individual serving arches in the bar frame. The atmosphere is great. Good old fashioned boozer with traditional bar fittings and lovely decor. The food is very good. Friendly staff. What's not to like 5 stars
Excellent choice of beers and ales. Excellent service. Patrons are friendly and from all walks of life. Old traditional pub. Place where you can feel safe. Best during the week. Tends to be overcrowded during the weekend.
Fantastic pub, I love all the classic decor, such a lovely place to sit and drink.Great whisky selection served in proper 35mil measures, unlike some of the tourist trap pubs in the centre of Edinburgh who seem to charge more money for smaller measures.Will definitely return next time I'm in Edinburgh
If you are in Edinburgh this pub is worth making a detour. Just jump on a 37 bus from the centre. If you have bought a 4 pound day ticket to use on the buses this journey is included in the price. An authentic traditional public house with a bar on the one side and a Lounge on the other with small serving windows. I had a pint of Real Ale which was clear and fresh, best I've had in Edinburgh... Recommend....
