I've used the German twice now to get a tourist visa for Germany and the schenghen area. Both times the appointments have been on time. The staff are very nice, very efficient, much better and faster than many other visa offices. It is in your best interest to read all the documentation and have all documents, photos and other data ready at the time of your appointment. If you don't have the necessary information you will be turned away and have to remake the appointment again. Luckily this hasn't happened to me but I have seen it happen to other people.
The consulate works very efficiently, and offers appointments in shortest periods comparing to other centres. NOTE: they only accept cash, which can be inconvenient for international cards (not necessarily compatible with ATMs in the area).Very helpful staff, prior to interview they do a document check with arrangement of all your papers in order and filter for irrelevant and missing documents. This was very surprising as commonly you are left to your own devices and in hope there is a mistake in you application to make you come back and better pay again.Good location, easy to spot (the flag).
Had a great experience. Very friendly staff. Explained everything clearly. Asked me to arrange a list of documents in order, I did so, officer verified it, and he was so nice all the time. Went to the biometric collection section and the lady officer was very friendly as well. I had a very bad experience with VFS Edinburgh last time when we went for Sweden VISA, where the indian officers there asked us to take our kid out - as they are not able to "concentrate" on their work. I would highly recommend everyone to approach Consulate General of Germany . Great experience.
The staff seem incapable of communicating effectively nor is their behaviour very civilized. Odious people. I've experienced better service from a second rate institution in a third rate country. And no I am not interested in raising my concerns with you people. Given my experience, how can I expect a decent response after such unreasonable behaviour. Shame on you.
German efficiency put into action, not just words and friendly on top. I am impressed and proud
